I am now counting down the hours until my final day with the kids is over. The last day of school for me (as a teacher) has always been like Christmas Eve. My first year of teaching I woke up very early that morning in anticipation for the last day. It was a long and grueling year-and I was very glad for it to be through. Now that I have been 'broken in' by my new position I am happy for the summer to begin.
I am also another year wiser, and I mentioned to my coworker that my thirties have been great so far. They say thirty is the new twenty-and I would have to agree that I am more content at thirtysomething than I ever was at twentysomething. Having a family bond is so uniquely special-that I can't quite describe its complexity. Now I know that the future will have some challenges for me, but that is life. I just know that at the tender age of 32 that the journey is getting better every year. Wow if it is like this now-I'll bet 40 will be awesome :)
